Gamuda Cove is expanding a new phase at its Gamuda Land and the new phase is looking to implement new technological innovation using Gamuda’s Industrialised Building System or short for IBS. With IBS system in consideration, the design process wheel has to be reinvented to ensure all structural and M&E services can be constructed off-site and only installation works can proceed at site.
Hence in order to facilitate the IBS design processes, newer Gamuda Cove phase township has implemented BIM in its design process to ensure all disciplines, Architectural, Civil and Structure, Mechanical and Electrical, Landscape designs can be captured prior to installation at site.
As part of Gamuda’s BIM objective in improving design process, the services can be seen through BIM visualisation spaces within the unit and the coordination of the M&E services. With the usage of BIM, the services within the IBS wall can collaboration with the contractors and trade specialist to ensure lesser hacking works.
